Applaud Now. There are so many ways.
There are people working for the good of others. Unrecognized. Often underfunded and definitely under appreciated. We hope to change all that.
Want to help?
This Fall we're supporting the Fredericksburg Christian Health Center. This non-profit medical clinic provides health care for those who have none, and cannot afford proper medical care. You can help those who help others!
Here's how:
1) Make FCHC your doctor. The clinic is staffed with a physician who is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics, nurse practitioners and nurses who, along with volunteer physicians and specialists, work hard to serve their patients. If you have health insurance, you can help this medical clinic help others by simply making them your physician or primary care doctor. Simple, right?
The ways FCHC works is to use a portion of your insurance co-pay (Does FCHC take my insurance?) to help someone who doesn't have insurance. It might be the homeless guy. It might be your neighbor. You can make a difference just by going there for a routine checkup or even to get your flu shot!
2) Go to FCHC's website and click the donate now button on the lower right of the page. Any size gift will help. Any gift will be appreciated. All gifts will be used to help others.
3) Attend the FCHC concert fundraiser on November 5th featuring Doyle Dykes and the Rappahannock POPS. You can purchase tickets now and attend a great show, knowing that you helped someone today.
3) Applaud them. Let them know you appreciate them. Drop the clinic a line, a letter, or an email. Express your appreciation for what they do, day in and day out. Everyday, they continue the hard work to help those in our community who need it the most.
4) Volunteer. Contact FCHC and see how you can serve them as they serve others. The good care they provide encompasses many areas of expertise, so they can use volunteers of all kinds! They appreciate their volunteers as much as their patients and are wonderful to partner with. Give them a call and see just how friendly they are.
